Mbalire Moses was born in Kampala to unschooled parents and faced severe hardship. Lacking basics, walking long distances, and dealing with school fees, he still supported his sisters—who are now a nurse and a teacher.
Struggling with his circumstances, Moses turned to drugs. But reading how Brazilian footballers escaped the favelas inspired him to change his own life.
He became an advocate for equal opportunity and, with like-minded youth, founded Obuyisi bw’Omu Initiative to give back. Moses is passionate about creating change, no matter how small.
