In the heart of Bwaise, where strength and resilience define everyday life, Obuyisi bw’Omu Initiative was born in 2023 out of a deep desire to give back. We've always believed in the power of community — in standing together, lifting each other up, and creating change from within.
Now, for the first time since our founding, we are launching our biggest community giveback ever, and we need you to help us make it real. This is about more than just helping with school supplies. It’s about helping children break the cycle of poverty and creating a future where all children — no matter their background — have the opportunity to thrive.
🎯 Our Goal: Equip 600 Children with Hope
Education is a right — but for too many children in Bwaise, the lack of basic school materials and hygiene essentials becomes a barrier to learning, confidence, and growth. We’re raising $20,000 to support 600 children, from nursery to secondary school, for both the second and third school terms of 2026.
Each child will receive:
Scholastic materials: Exercise books, pens, pencils, rulers, school bags, and more.
Hygiene items: Sanitary pads, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other personal care items.
By equipping these young learners with the tools they need to succeed, we're not just handing out supplies — we're restoring dignity, building dreams, and breaking cycles of poverty.
