Kyogere Campaign
Mental Health Awareness
Through our Kyogere (“Say It Out”) Campaign, we use storytelling and humour to share factual information, tackle stigma and myths, and foster community dialogue on mental health.
Mental health—our emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing—has long been overlooked. Challenges range from lack of information and stigma to few experts and facilities.
We run sensitization drives, introduce the green ribbon movement in schools, and promote sports for good health. By partnering with schools, offering counselling, and creating safe spaces for conversation, Kyogere is building a movement for lasting change in mental health awareness and support.
SITUKA! Bulamu Bwetulongoosa Drive
Sanitation (W.A.S.H)
A healthy community is free from disease—but urban slums like Bwaise face poor waste disposal and unaffordable clean water.
Through our SITUKA! Bulamu Bwetulongoosa Drive, we promote clean water sources, good hygiene, and community ownership. By preventing avoidable diseases, families save money for other needs. We advocate for cleaner streams, proper waste management, and collective responsibility for better health.
Green Eco-Lab
Climate Change
Climate change is real and unfolding before us, leaving many communities helpless—but it’s not too late to act.
At Obuyisi bw’Omu Initiative, we’re establishing climate clubs in schools and communities to share knowledge and practical skills. These clubs train young people—both male and female—to develop grassroots solutions for climate adaptation, making underserved communities more resilient.
Our Green Eco-Lab is a 5-month intensive project equipping communities with hands-on skills for sustainable living. Through workshops and training, participants learn practical, eco-friendly methods to protect their local environments and take meaningful climate action.
Flow with Dignity Campaign
Quality Education
Education unlocks development, yet many face barriers like lacking materials, long distances, and poor mental health. Aligning with SDG 4, we bridge gaps through:
a) Flow with Dignity: Provides pads and menstrual health education to girls, engaging boys to reduce stigma.
b) A Backpack at a Time: Supplies essential scholastic materials to the most vulnerable children.
c) Vocational Training: Empowers youth through carpentry, mechanics, and plumbing—reaching schooled, unschooled, and skilled individuals.
d) Digital Literacy (E-Ghetto Initiative): Teaches basic computer skills to children aged 5–11 in neglected areas, bridging the digital divide.
